Energy Transition in Brazil

The paper provides a qualitative analysis of the context and policies of the Energy Transition developments in Brazil in order to subsidize the preparation of a comparison paper on Energy Transition in three Latin America G20 countries: Brazil, Argentina and Mexico.

It has been produced as part of the efforts of Climate Transparency, an international partnership of Centro Clima and 13 other research organizations and NGOs comparing G20 climate action. The paper is financed by the International Climate Initiative (IKI). The Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety (BMU) supports this initiative on the basis of a decision adopted by the German Bundestag.
