Dr. Gerd Leipold, Program Director of Climate Transparency, contributed to the LSE Global Policy Publication entitled “From “Green” to “Blue Finance””.

In his contribution, he puts emphasis on the importance of the G20 countries in global climate action and acknowledges that despite their interest and capacities to enhance their engagement in protecting the climate, the G20 countries do not take the necessary leadership.

Read more about the missed potential of the G20 countries and reasons, why they should act now and read the publication here.

The publication is the result of a collaboration between the LSE Institute of Global Affairs and the LSE Grantham Research Institute on Climate Change and the Environment with contributions from academics, researchers and organisations addressing the strongly interlinked climate threat and the health of the Ocean.
